Khaled Salmeen opened the scoring in the 65th minute and Abdulrahman added a second eight minutes later before the home side sealed an emphatic win with goals by Rico (Leandson Dias da Silva), Fahad Al Hardan and Abdulrahman again in a frantic last five minutes. Muharraq were the better side throughout the game but it was not until the 29th minute that they created their first chance as a cross by Moroccan defender Jamal Abrarou was turned wide by Mohamed Jaafar Al Zain. The home side should have opened the scoring in the 35th minute when Abdulrahman’s neat pass set up Rico only for the Brazilian striker to shoot wide. The best chance of the half arrived two minutes before the break when Rico fired in a powerful shot, which came back off the woodwork. The post again denied the home side two minutes into the second half, keeping out an effort by Abdulrahman but the pressure of the home side finally paid off five minutes after the hour when second half substitute Salmeen took advantage of a defensive lapse to beat Kedah goalkeeper Mohammed Helmi with a low shot. It was 2-0 eight minutes later when Abdulrahman met a cross from Silva with a powerful shot from inside the area. Rico netted a third for Muharraq five minutes from time and midfielder Al Hardan got into the act two minutes later, turning in a cross from Abdullah Omar with a powerful low shot to make it 4-0. There was still time for Abdulrahman to net his second goal of the night as he beat Helmi with a low shot into the bottom left corner of the net in the second minute of stoppage time
